What is a Bibliography? A bibliography generally includes a list of books, articles, journals, cultural artifacts, and other study materials used to compile an academic writing or literary work. It is essentially a list of resources used to write a research paper. Also known as a works cited list, a bibliography can appear at the end of a book, report, online presentation, or research article. Students learn that a properly formatted bibliography and in-text citations are essential to citing their research correctly and avoiding accusations of plagiarism.
